Liz Fleming does a good job with her historic facts and then blends in a surprising exotic display of hot sex. The characters are surprising and reflect the era of the Great War. We see the conflict of war in the mind-sets of the people. Liz also brings out the conflict between two beautiful redheads that want the same man. Liz does a good job of putting Civil War history in to prospective. There is mention of slaves and I think it is portrayed accurately. The Nation was divided mostly in politics at first, then by guns, blood, and grief. There is another slant on President Abraham Lincoln. There is also a look at the rag-tag Confederate Army that in spite of overwhelming odds; held back the might of the Union Army for four long years. Get your Flags from the Colonel. A researched subject put into a book with monolog, reaction, expression, love and hate can make a wonderful read. Some folks tell the Colonel that he must have lived back there in the old time because he puts himself right in the book. He says, "If the folks get on a wagon and go on a trip, he hops on and writes all that the folks may encounter. They may have bad weather, mountain outlaws, wild animals and the ever present bad roads. I challenge you to read just one of his books! Colonel Charles Dahnmon Whitt was born and raised in Tazewell County, Virginia in the little coal town of Raven. He graduated from Richlands High School and served four years in the Navy. He has resided in Flatwoods KY since 1970. He made a living as a Union Sheet Metal Worker for 35 years then took up the craft of writing. The Colonel is a researcher, genealogist, and author of 15 books. His books are mostly historic by nature but he adds conversations and emotions to the facts to make the books really interesting. He calls his books Historic-Fiction where all is based on truth and all the names, dates, places, and events are true. The Colonel is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, The Sons of Confederate Veterans and a Kentucky Colonel. He wears his uniform of the Confederate Colonel to honor all the men and women that struggled against the Union during the War of Northern Aggression. Colonel Whitt has been recognized by the Kentucky Senate on two occasions for his achievements in historic research and writing ability and also a member of Biltmore’s Who’s Who.
